I bought this for my 8 years old Yorkie with arthritis in his back. I was drawn to this bed because it's a single piece 4" memory foam. I bought two egg crate foam beds in the past. they're cheap but not worth it in the long run. They were too soft and became flat in just a few months. I decided to try a more expensive one finally. It arrived very quick. My first impression were mixed. It looks like a nice bed, nice and solid memory foam with accurate dimensions. but my dog seems not impressed at first.I'll break everything downPackaging: it came in a very small box, but the bed did go to its claimed size in half a day. so it was not an issue.Memory foam: this is the best part. it looks very solid, not too soft, not too firm. when I put my hand on it and push hard, I can feel it much firmer than regular foam, and yet slowly recover to the original shape. It's totally different feel with egg crate foam.Zipper cover: nice and soft denim cover, the zipper looks solid, it goes around two sides. so it's very easy to remove and throw in washing machine. there's a waterproof liner under the cover. my dog hasn't had an accident for quite a while. so it's still to be tested.The smell: There're some smells initially, it did go away after I air it out. He started to play with it after the first day. He lays on it whenever not playing now, sleeps like a puppy on it:)Overall, it's a very good investment for my dog.
